The Community Building Administration is responsible for the physical planning of the city and works comprehensively for sustainable development of Mölndal, urban areas, and countryside with good infrastructure. The administration's tasks include strategic community planning, comprehensive and detailed planning, plan implementation, as well as the management and development of Mölndal's own property portfolio, investment projects, land and exploitation, traffic development, and long-term planning of land and water use.

Mölndal has a strategic and advantageous location near Gothenburg, in the Västra Götaland region. Mölndal is in an expansive phase with a population of 70,000, significant infrastructural investments, and a growing business sector.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to help build tomorrow's Mölndal and contribute to sustainable construction projects from property management, economic, and environmental perspectives?

As a project manager, you will have a varied and responsible role where you lead projects within maintenance, reinvestments, and smaller renovations and new constructions. You will work closely with both internal and external parties to ensure that the right measures are implemented with high quality and long-term sustainability.

Your main tasks include:

• leading and operationally driving projects together with contracted framework contractors.
• planning and executing maintenance and renovation projects as well as smaller additions and new constructions.
• conducting internal and damage investigations and driving projects from feasibility study to completion.
• independently, or in collaboration with consultants, preparing documentation and decision support for project initiation.
• executing operation, reinvestment, and investment projects according to the city's project management methodology and ensuring quality throughout the process.
• in dialogue with maintenance planners, proposing and prioritizing future maintenance needs to managers.
• being responsible for quality assurance according to the client's responsibility and ensuring correct handover to management and operations.
• participating in central procurements and contributing to the evaluation and follow-up of framework agreements.
• updating and following up object information in the property system.
• participating in warranty inspections.
• monitoring warranty measures and managing authority contacts regarding building permits, environmental permits, and consultations with the city antiquarian.

Property Department

As a Project Manager for Maintenance, you will be an important part of our property department. The Property Department in Mölndal is responsible for managing, building, renting, and developing premises for the municipality's current and future needs. We have many ongoing and upcoming projects that require high competence and good collaboration. Our processes and working methods are constantly evolving as we work together for the best possible Mölndal for our residents and visitors. The Property Department works for the entire city and is organizationally part of the Community Building Administration. The department has three unit managers and 30 employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an education as a construction engineer or other post-secondary education, alternatively work experience that we assess as equivalent. We also see that you have at least 5 years of documented experience as a project manager where you have driven projects from start to finish. You also have good knowledge of building technology. It is advantageous if you have previous experience as a foreman in the construction or property industry.

For the position of Project Manager for Maintenance, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a municipality where a lot is happening. You will have many internal and external contacts, and therefore we believe you are communicative, self-driven, and independent as a person. You are very accustomed to working according to processes and governing documents. To be successful in the role, you are structured and enjoy working with great precision in your tasks. We also see that you are curious and driven to come up with new ideas and solutions. You also feel comfortable making decisions and leading a group in the work.
